Run by Diane and Adrian Thirtle-Watts, Offa’s Dyke Cottage Bed & Breakfast has been our family home for over two generations, with our 16-year-old son now moving us into the third generation, along with his two cross-breed springer spaniel/golden retriever dogs.
We are located - as the name suggests - directly on the Offa’s Dyke Path in the hamlet of Mellington. Our property is set in one and a half acres of garden in outstanding countryside with rural views across to Corndon hill and the Welsh Marches, as well as towards the Kerry Ridgeway.
At Offa's Dyke Cottage Bed & Breakfast, we offer accommodation in two guest rooms with the option of a double sofa bed in our guest lounge for larger groups or families. Guests will have access to a well-presented lounge area with a TV, free-sat, DVD player & free high speed Wi-Fi as well as a log burning stove for cold evenings.
Breakfast and dinner are served in our large sunroom which has outstanding views over the surrounding countryside via two large bi fold doors which can be opened on the rare occasions that the Welsh weather allows, to access a decked seating area overlooking the garden and large wildlife pond. Seating is also provided in the sunroom itself where guests can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of this rural location.
A full English breakfast is included within our competitive prices with the option of an evening meal and packed lunch by prior arrangement.
